Hello kids.
Did you ever have that teacher, the one you would swear believes you have no other class but her own and assigns work accordingly?
Yeah. I have that, only there are two of them, and it would appear both think I have no LIFE other than the class.
I guess I've been lucky so far in grad school. I have had classes that were exceptionally labor-intensive (the Reference equivalent my first semester, Digital Imaging last semester for example). However, whenever I've had an unusually demanding class, it's been balanced by a less demanding one. This time I happened to get two horrendously demanding classes, and they might as well be in a foreign language due to the subject matter.
I've maintained a 4.0 every semester in grad school, but I don't even see how that's going to be an option for me this time. I wish I could drop one, but then I wouldn't graduate on time, and I don't want that!
On the positive side, I burned the dickens out of my neck this morning with the flat iron, and then when I went to have bloodwork done they had to stick me once, wiggle the needle around, and then give up and stick me again. Why is that the positive side? It was a virtual guarantee that my day could only go up from there, right? Right? < crickets > < knock wood >

Ouch, a few years ago I was having bloodwork done and the person drawing the blood bent the needle twice before finally getting it right.
